The Last Song, featuring Miley Cyrus will be released in theatres March 31!! The film’s makeup artist trusted blinc to stand up to the third main character of The Last Song – water. Watch Miley’s makeup last through her tears, the rain and ocean waves!!
Based on the best-selling novelist Nicholas Sparks’ latest novel, The Last Song, is set in a small Southern beach town where an estranged father (Greg Kinnear) gets a chance to spend a summer with his reluctant teenaged daughter (Miley Cyrus) who’d rather be home in New York. He tries to reconnect with her through the only things they have in common – music – in a story of family, friendship, secrets and salvation, along with first loves and second chances.

Have you tried the old-school trick of heating your eyelash curler with a hairdryer ? If so, you are quite possibly a victim of singed lashes, or a burned eyelid if you overheated the curler, applied too much pressure or held it too close to your eye. Although heat does set a better curl, we’d rather not sacrifice our lashes for this risky trick. blinc’s Heated Lash Curler achieves a great curl with the same idea, but the temperature is just right and it has a heated comb that prevents contact with your skin and eyes. Makeup Artist Emily Moses took the time to speak to us about hottest makeup trends, must-haves, celebrities and her opinion on blinc. Emily has done makeup for magazines from Ocean Drive to Vogue.
What are the hottest makeup trends for Spring and how can blinc be used to create these looks?
I don’t really always follow trends, but every blinc product can be used in every trend. The best attribute to blinc, is it doesn’t matter what the trend is, it can be utilized in every way. It’s more about the way it wears and you can keep the trend on your face much longer and it doesn’t smudge. As a makeup artist, I don’t have to worry about fixing the makeup during a shoot or on set because it stays in place.
In your opinion, which celebrity always hits the mark with their makeup?
J. Lo always hits the mark (note from blinc team: J. Lo is actually a devoted blinc user). I also love the Kardashians, they always look polished, especially Kim!
What is a must-have product in every girl’s purse?
Blush, gloss and mascara to look alive and glossy.
What do you think of the new blinc products – the Fountain of Youthful Color Eyebrow Mousse and Fountain of Youthful Color Eye Shadow Phase One?
I use the mousse on myself and I love it. You just need to be careful to blend it properly because it is a mousse so it will hold the hair. For ideal effects, use a clean brow brush to make sure the color is not too intense, and be sure to brush hairs in the right direction before it dries so your brows stay the way you want it. Use some on the end to elongate the brow and draw a proper shape.
Phase one evens out the tone of eyelids, intensifies the shadow and can act as a highlighter on its own. It’s basically multi-purpose.
What’s the one thing you recommend to anyone to look their best every morning?
Skin. Always, always, always use a hydrating eye cream and a great moisturizer. Skin care is everything. If you have oily or combination skin, use an oil-free moisturizer.

Once upon a time we thought if we lost an eyelash we could make a wish and blow it away. Odds are your wish is probably to not lose any more eyelashes. Here are some tips to fuller, longer lashes and less wishes.
